Vietnam, a country renowned for its rich history and cultural heritage, attracts a large number of tourists every year. To make the process of obtaining a visa for visiting the country easier and more convenient, the Vietnamese government has introduced the electronic visa (E-visa) system. In this article, we will explore the key features and benefits of the Vietnam E-visa.
What is a Vietnam E-Visa?
A Vietnam E-visa is a type of travel document issued by the Vietnamese Immigration Department that allows foreign nationals to enter the country for a maximum of 30 days, with a single entry. The Vietnam e-Visa is issued through the Vietnamese Immigration Department's visa electronic system and can be applied for either by the foreign national or through an inviting/guaranteeing agency, organization, or individual.
Eligibility and Requirements of Vietnam e-Visa
To be eligible for a Vietnam E-visa, foreign nationals must hold a valid passport and not fall under the cases of suspension from entry into Vietnam as prescribed in Article 21 of the Law on Foreigners' Entry into, Exit from, Transit through, and Residence in Vietnam. The Vietnam e-Visa fee is paid via an electronic payment gateway and is non-refundable in case the applicant is refused a Vietnam e-Visa.

Benefits of the Vietnam E-Visa
The primary benefit of the Vietnam E-visa is the convenience and speed of the application process. With the Vietnam e-Visa, foreign nationals can avoid the hassle of visiting a Vietnamese embassy or consular office, as the entire process can be completed online. The Vietnam e-Visa also eliminates the need to wait in long queues or make multiple trips, as all the required information and payment can be submitted through the electronic system.
Another advantage of the Vietnam e-Visa is the flexibility it offers to foreign nationals. They can apply for the Vietnam e-Visa from anywhere in the world, at any time, as long as they have access to the internet. This makes the Vietnam e-Visa ideal for travelers who have limited time or who need to make last-minute arrangements.
The Vietnam e-Visa now includes the stamping fee (25 USD) and allows you to bypass the Visa Landing Counter. Upon arrival, you will not need to fill out the NA1 form, prepare 2 passport-sized photos, or queue for visa stamping. Instead, simply go directly to the Passport Control Queue, saving you time and hassle.
