Visa on arrival is a type of visa picked up at the destination airport. It is the most convenient way of obtaining your visa to Vietnam. Unlike the conventional method of obtaining Visa, it doesn’t involve any hassles of going to the Embassy and complete piles of paper work. All you need to do is to fill the Online Application Form, deposit the application processing fee and Your private visa approval letter will be delivered with in a couple of working days and pick up your visa at your destination airport (Hanoi airport, Ho Chi Minh city airport, Da Nang Airport).
Once we get your approval letter from the embassy we will forward you the copy of the letter through Email. Copy of the same letter will also be sent to the Immigration Authorities so that when you arrive at the airport; the immigration officers’ issue you the Visa immediately.

“PRIVATE visa approval letter” is the documentary evidence that your visa has been approved by the Immigration Authorities. By showing the approval letter to the Immigration Officer at the Vietnam International Airports (Hanoi airport, Ho Chi Minh city airport, Da Nang Airport), you can pick up your Visa on Arrival.
The immigration Authorities at the check points of the airport will verify your approval letter. If you entered your details correctly during application procedure then you are rest assured to get your Visa on arrival. However we strongly recommended to read the instruction on our websites well to avoid any unnecessary hassles at Vietnam airport.

Yes, visa on arrival is NOT VALID for OVERLAND ENTRY. The four international airports in Vietnam that you can receive your visa stamp with this approval letter are: Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City), Cam Ranh International Airport (Nha Trang) and Danang Airport (Da Nang).

If you wish to travel to Vietnam via land or sea, you need to obtain your visa through Vietnam embassy in your country.
Usually you do not need to provide scanned copy of passport when applying for the visa on arrival. However the immigration authorities can ask you to provide your passport copy for verifying the information provided by you with your application. In case if the authorities ask for the copy of your passport, we’ll notify you immediately by the email.
Not necessarily, however, the arrival date you mention in the application has to be the earliest date you plan on arriving in Vietnam but there is no restriction that you must arrive on that date – you can arrive at a later date too. However you must leave the country before the departure date.
For example: If you have applied for one month visa and set the arrival date to be Oct 1, 2020, your approval letter will be valid from Oct 1, 2020 to Nov 1, 2020. You can enter Vietnam any time between the validity periods but have to leave before Nov 1, 2013.
When you arrive at Vietnam International Airports, you will be required to present the authorities with the following three documents.

Application for Vietnam visa can be filed from one day to six months earlier than when you plan to arrive at Vietnam. Although the visa approval procedure take 1-2 days it is strongly recommended to submit your application at least a week or two before your planned date of arrival to avoid any last minute surprises as far as payment or administrative problems are concerned.
Right after submitted your application is submitted, we’ll send an email to confirm the details you submitted. You can confirm your details in that application. In case there are any mistakes, you can contact us right away at support@vietnamsvisa.com.
In case you were unable to find out the mistake and your application is processed. You’ll have to apply for the visa again, submitting the correct information.
No, you can not board the plane unless you show the approval letter to authorities at the airport. The letter also serves as the evidence that you have been approved to get your visa at Vietnam airport. Therefore we strongly recommend that that you apply for the visa well in advance to avoid any problems.
Switching between airports doesn’t make any difference to your visa on arrival as long at you arrive at any of the three international airports in Vietnam.

In general, there are two fees you are required to pay: The stamping fee (paid directly at Vietnam’s airport) + our service fee for the approval letter (paid in advance). Stamping fee is required to be paid at Vietnam airports to get your Visa on arrival stamped on your passport. For 1-3 months single entry visa the stamping fee is $25 per person and $50 for multiple entry visas. The stamping fee has to be paid in cash – credit cards are not accepted.
