Visa Exemption for Greeks Holding Diplomatic Passports
In 2015, the Vietnamese Government launched a visa exemption program to make it easier for international visitors to visit Vietnam for business and tourism purposes. It even revises the visa guidelines at regular intervals to attract more tourists from specific countries. But the visitors holding Greece passports still lack any option to visit Vietnam without a visa. They have to apply for Vietnam in two distinct ways – through local Vietnam embassy or through visa service providers.
An agreement signed by Vietnam’s Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and Greece’s Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias abolished the need for visas on diplomatic passports. Hence, any individual holding a diplomatic passport issued by the Greek Government can now visit Vietnam without any visa. But the people holding non-diplomatic passports still need to apply for and obtain a visa to Vietnam before their scheduled trip. They can easily obtain Vietnam visa by opting for the right option.
The online visa service providers make it easier for Greek passport holders to visit Vietnam for business or tourism purposes by obtaining the visa on arrival. Some visa service providers even help Greek passport holders to apply for the visa to Vietnam over the internet. VietnamsVisa.com – an established visa service provider –helps Greeks to avail visa on arrival in 2 working days. A visitor can receive a private Vietnam visa approval letter through email simply by filling in the visa application form and paying the required service fees. VietnamsVisa even makes it easier for Greek passport holders to obtain the visa on arrival without visiting the local Vietnam embassy several times.
