Central Vietnam emerge as the hottest destination for Chinese and South Korean tourists
The South Asian nation Vietnam continues to entice global tourists as reflected by the latest stats indicate a heavy increase in the footfall of tourists. This spectacular increase can be credited to the availability of limitless natural and cultural spots, clean and calm atmosphere and the new hassle-free visa policies of the Vietnam government.
According to the figures published by the tourism sector, approximately 4.43 million tourists visited the central province of Quang Nam from January to July during this year. When compared with the data of previous year, there is a whopping increase of 30.2 percent.
A massive surge in international travelers

Out of the 4.43 million tourists, 2.8 million are international visitors which mean there is an enormous increase of 39.5 percent from the last year. Chinese and Korean citizen constitute up to 70 percent of the total tourist footfall here and according to the officials out of 1,500 visitors to the village a day, Chinese and South Korean are 1,000.
Da Nang the biggest winner of this trend
The statistics for Da Nang are in fact jaw-dropping. The central city of Da Nang saw an increase of 107 percent in South Korean visitors which means the number of tourists actually doubled from last year. Similarly, there was a 36 percent increase in Chinese visitors. This place has received nearly 1 million South Korean and over 500,000 Chinese visitors so far in the first seven months.
Flights are the most preferred mode of transport for South Korean and Chinese travelers. Currently, 79 and 127 direct flights are operational a week from China and South Korea respectively to the Da Nang Airport. At the same time, several Chinese travelers prefer visiting Vietnam by ships.
Generally, the period between August to October is regarded as the off-season in Vietnam but this year the region is flocked by Chinese and Korean tourists who are here to spend a memorable holiday. This pleasant change in trend has helped local tourism services to continue their operation and get rewarded for their immaculate hospitality and services.
